Scone Palace Garden Show 2024
‘Best Design’ winning team 2024. Callum was part of a brilliant team of likeminded designers who put together our Where Wild Things Are design. The theme of this years competition was healing, and our goal was to create a space where children can explore, hide and lose themselves in sensory experiences of nature. As part of this project, we are replanting the garden at the Sick Kids Hospital in Edinburgh.
Ashbrook House
This listed Victorian villa on Ferry Road in Edinburgh has been our biggest project to date. Vastly overgrown and neglected, we have been carefully restoring the gardens with meticulous care for their historical importance. As per our clients request, we used sustainable methods to restore the formal gardens, and a variety of planting themes including sensory and low maintenance plants. We created new spaces across the grounds including the wildlife pond and vegetable beds.
Joppa Home
Our client had a beautiful established garden, which we wanted to incorporate into the overall design and try to reflect in our additions. The design sought to create more outdoor entertainment space, with a mediterranean seaside/tropical twist. We sourced sustainable high quality tiling from Portugal for the patio area, and designed the ‘pool room’ garden house. Between the patio and garden room, we planted a dense yet easily maintained shade area with a beach inspired path. The furniture was upcycled and restored with colours to match our clients house interior.
Mountcastle home
Creating an area for entertainment and sunbathing was our client’s dream. We replaced old and overgrown planting with low-maintenance shrubs and tropical feel schemes, and maximised sunlight intake to the garden and new patio area. A simple yet gorgeous tile patio combined with larger robust greenery created a sanctuary of the mediterranean holidays they love at home.
